• Account information — your name, email address, company name, and role (buyer or supplier) when you register.
• Marketplace content — RFQs, specifications, quotations, prices, and messages you submit through the platform.
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

We use your information to:

• Operate the marketplace — publishing RFQs, delivering quotations, and processing awards.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Communicate with you about your account and the service.
• Improve the platform and diagnose technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Quotations — including supplier company names, contact details, and pricing — are visible only to the buyer who published the RFQ and the supplier who submitted the quotation. Other users cannot see them.

Buyers may publish RFQs anonymously. When an RFQ is anonymous, the buyer's identity is hidden from suppliers and the public RFQ board. Anonymous RFQs are still attributable to the buyer within their own account.

We use trusted infrastructure providers for hosting, database, and authentication services. When you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google), that provider shares basic account information with us in accordance with their own privacy policy. Currency conversion rates shown on the platform are obtained from a third-party exchange-rate service; no personal data is sent with those requests.

We retain your account information while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us. Marketplace records may be retained where required for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mercares.com.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections and row-level access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform before they take effect.
